Borgias Keepin It Goin

Showtime has renewed The Borgias for a third season and the creators are hoping to keep things going until season four, the final one.  They apparently have always planned on keeping things to 4 seasons and getting the third makes things that much easier.

For season three, Academy Award-winner and Emmy nominee Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire), will continue to serve as creator, executive producer, and will serve as writer and director of select episodes.


Season two of THE BORGIAS currently, airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and [its season] will [air] [sic] on Sunday, June 17^th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

I like The Borgias and its one of the shows I love from Showtime.  I can't say I watch this on Showtime but thankfully I get to Netflix this badboy for the entire season.  As I write this, I'm looking at my Disc 3 for The Borgias and will finish my first season.  Hopefully, the writers, et al, can keep things going and make it fun if not good and accurate.

Incest Here, Sodomy There

Jeremy Irons is starring as Rodrigo Borgia in the Showtimes new series The Borgias.

Irons continued, "It was an interesting time. There were murders every night. Poisonings most weekends. Incest here, sodomy there. It was a good old rolling, rollicking society. If you're going to run that as a Pope tends to do, you're going to have to play by some set of rules. I don't judge him at all. I think it's up to the audience to say what is good, what is wrong, what's right. There are huge parallels today to how things were back then as far as what people get up to and what they do to get their way. I don't think anything has changed really. I played him as someone who thought he was a pretty good guy. I'm sure George W. Bush thought he was a good guy, too. Stalin probably liked himself."

Ha! How funny is JI.  So true.  I think I'm great but the people I plot to kill because they cut me off in traffic would beg to differ.
